As far as someone who I feel could do a great job of making the songs his own goes..... And I'm talking someone who sounds nothing like Scott who has an amazing voice who could probably do a good portion of the old catalog, but even more importantly create really memorable new material. I'd say Chad Price from ALL/Drag The River.  Dude has a great sense of melody.

I love him in IME too.  I heard his audition a few days ago and thought it was good but a bit different as well.  He would divide the fan base as he doesn't sound exactly like Scott (though whomever they pick will divide the fan base).

When i listened to his submissions before i thought they were good, but i couldn't find them any longer so i googled the guy - TJ Jones.  Found a few of his STP covers on youtube.   I still think he sounds good.

I just submitted my 2 songs on the site. The quality isn't that great of the recording but I think it came out decent. Let me know what you guys think. I am LeoC2

WOW this guy is awesome the best yet. He reminds me of a young healthy Scott Weiland, thanks for the links I'll follow this guy now regardless. STP I Hope u have taken notice.

All the Lady Gaga talk, reminds me of that song that Fergie did on Slash's solo record ...while she may be more suited for that L.A./Sunset Strip kinda vibe rock, she showed a good set of rock pipes on that track, though in all honesty, I would never want either one. :P

Agreed.

And I think the fans, overall, would be more openly receptive to different ideas, if that darn STP name wasn't attached.
