He made a lot of improvement near the end of Audioslave and especially when he initially got back with Soundgarden. Happened to correlate, as far as I heard, with him getting sober and quitting smoking. What happened?

I saw him last year for his acoustic tour and he was on point and sounded great.  Hopefully this was just a drunk from partying fluke.

Hopefullly!  Pretty crazy that he'd get tanked the night of the Audioslave reunion... He does give off a far too familliar Scott-esque emptiness to him.

In his defense:


1.) This wasn't an Audioslave show, this was a Prophets of Rage show he happened to join in for three songs. So it's conceivable that maybe he had a bit too much of a good time at the concert before he went on stage.


2.) He's not actually that far off from the album version. Tim Commerford sounds more off key than he does.


So hopefully this was just him having too much fun backstage. It'd be a shame if he falls off the wagon. Don't want his name in the list with Scott, Kurt and Layne.

I saw Soundgarden during their " Badmotorfinger" and " Superknown" tours and Chris Cornell sounded great but his attitude sucked and also i saw them at Red Rocks, went to take a picture with the Spoonman and he was a dick, i told him your a fucking spoonman go fuck yourself.

Never knew he sang any STP songs during his Xmas holiday tour. May not be the best but still cool he did an STP song in that loungy type vibe to mix it in with his other holiday songs.

The NYC show of this tour he started with all xmas songs but then his encore was a VR and an STP song or two.  I want to say "Do It For The Kids" "Unglued" and "Vasoline" but don't quote me on that.  Was pretty cool hearing those renditions (even if it was a little 'meh').  I can't recall if they still had the string instruments for the encore but it was still kind of stripped down.

He had done another promotional show in NYC where I believe he had played "Wonderful" not sure if that was the same night from the video, but I remember hearing the rendition was bad.
