Ticketmaster Free Vouchers
« on: June 20, 2016, 07:31:42 PM »
Some of you may have heard but for those that haven't... if you bought tickets through Ticketmaster between October 21, 1999, thru February 27, 2013, you may be eligible for free or discounted tickets due to a recent lawsuit settlement.

Log in to your TM account. Go to My Account > Active Vouchers and see if you have any codes to redeem.
I got a handful.

I somehow don't?

I don't know how I didn't go to a concert in that time frame.

WTFs.

Maybe you yourself didn't buy the tickets?

I did find the Curt Schelsinger vs Ticketmaster Email back from 2011 in my Email.  I guess I'm still waiting for the vouchers to come.

Good luck. I have no idea what events will be eligible. Hopefully they are quality shows.

I got so damn many free vouchers and discount vouchers.

I have a feeling the free vouchers are pretty much gonna be for stuff I have no interest in.

Too bad there isn't a choice between vouchers or cash money. There was a class action suit against Red Bull a few years back because it doesn't actually give you wings or something and they would send either a check or free Red Bulls.

This, seems pretty lame. Like you get $2.25 or whatever discount per ticket but they'll still charge you an 8 dollar "convenience fee" so it's basically pointless.

I also read there was a 17 ticket cap limit on what they're willing to pay back.  Somehow I feel there was not a limit of 17 tickets that they were allowed to screw people over on with over charges.

I also read they have now set it up to where you would have to go to arbitration with Ticketmaster to get any kind of money back with a complaint like this.  No more U.S. Supreme Court on our side.  I'm sure everyone on this board has the time and money to take Ticketmaster to arbitration over a $10 overcharge.

If there is a cap, its not 17.  I have 20 vouchers.  Its total bullshit though.  I have $110 in vouchers, but they split it across 20 different 16-digit checkout coupon codes. I have to enter 20 different codes at checkout?  Seriously, fuck off Ticketmaster.

I got some $2.50 off vouchers and a bunch of "free" ticket vouchers. They have a list of dates that these work for. Keep in mind they are all general admission, so for some of these amphitheaters, that means lawn tickets, which in some venues, is so far away.

I was hoping for general admission in smaller venues.

THIS!

The "news" reports that Ticketmaster is paying up to $379 million dollars in this settlement.  Meanwhile they'll just jack up their fees to compensate; so it won't take very long to recoup any loss.  Between their astronomical "convenience" fees, and selling their tickets to their own resellers (double profit); this settlement is a joke.

I only got 17 codes for $2.50 each.  Where is everyone getting these free ticket vouchers from?  Or was it a first come, first serve thing?

The worst part is you know the lawyer(s) in this case sure as hell didn't get paid in coupons and free tickets to concerts they didn't ask for.

I checked my account this morning and I had 34 free concert ticket vouchers, so I'm buying whatever I have even a mild interest in attending now. Check again everyone!

I maxed out as well. Hell, I averaged 25-30 concerts a year during 2002-2005 alone. That was inevitable.

Funny thing though is that most of the artists I see these days use Etix or something like that. I knew Ticketbastard would find another way to screw me.

I got till 2020 to use them. I'm sure I'll find something.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Still nothing.

Looks like Ticketmaster got away with the deep dicking they handed me over the years.
