Anybody go to this show?

I was there last night. Rival Sons were awesome and a tough act to follow, in my opinion.

STP had some technical difficulties - which didn't help.
Not sure what happened early in the set but Dean and Robert were yelling at each other on stage.
At one point, one flipped the other one off.
You can't do that shit. Poor form.
I get it, you can have a bad night or whatever, but they should keep it together better than that. The moment the crowd is aware, you've failed.

As for the actual set, it had its moments. When they were on, they sounded good (vocals were a little low, where I was). Sometimes, they felt/looked bored though. Maybe it was the off night. Also, they take way too long in between songs, especially when nothing is being said.

Lastly, they should really play more new stuff. I know we've discussed it ad nauseam, but seriously, even Jeff performs his songs differently. You see he's way more engaged. "Roll Me Under" just had a different level of energy.

Rival Sons are supporting a new record and they played 7 songs off their new album - and that was in a shorter set than STP.

That argument during "Crackerman" was PALPABLE. There's video on Youtube already and it's pretty shocking.

From a guess, it looked like either one of them didn't follow the setlist as planned or at one point you see Robert motioning to the soundguy that maybe Dean was too loud in the monitors? Who knows. But yeah, Rob looked pretty heated!  Check out at 1:35 Dean gives him the finger!

100%.

A buddy of mine standing farther back said he didn't notice anything, so maybe it wasn't picked up by everyone, but it definitely affected the flow of the show, I feel.

Later on in the set, during Big Bang Baby...the lyrics:

Does anybody know how the story really goes...how the story really goes. How the story really goes <--- Rob sings this and sang "how the story fucking goes", with an emphasis on "fucking".

Clearly something was up.

This is embarrassing behavior from grown men, especially on stage in front of a crowd, and hugely disappointing. Even when Scott was messing up all the time, the band kept the drama more or less off stage. Actually having an argument on stage is legitimately a new low for the band. Whatever is going on between the two of them, they owe the people who paid good money to see that show an apology.

Seriously, they're almost to 60 years of age acting like that is ridiculous. Totally ruined the vibe.

They owe people an apology? Please. Get over yourself.

And as far as them keeping their drama off stage with Scott - you're kidding right?

Is this just a rehash of that story earlier in the year?

Agree 100%. When I saw Scott flub D&B once, I thought there was going to be a fist fight after the song ended.

Is it really that ridiculous to say they should apologize to the fans for acting like complete and total idiots in front of them? After all the shit STP fans have been through, surely they deserve better than a couple of grown men acting like children on stage.

As for drama with Scott, I don't recall them ever shoving him and screaming in his face on stage. They got pissed, yes, but they saved arguments for off the stage.

it's interesting, i just recalled i saw STP at the Asbury Park Convention Hall back around 2000 or so. They were late taking the stage and the rumor was that Scott was down in Atlantic City gambling. In any event, Rob and Dean grew up in the area, and they had tons of relatives in the audience that night, they were sitting a few rows away from my daughter and I. So they most likely had tons of family and friends in attendance again the other night when they pulled this stunt. Makes it even worse if their friends and family had to witness it.
