Was the nugs version $15? Interesting they are bypassing them this time and seemingly charging less. I could be wrong about that, though.

I wish you could pay extra and just own the performances.

Excellent. I've always wanted to see them do this album the whole way thought, excited that they're finally going to do it.

Core show was $9.99, so technically they are charging 1ยข more. Goddamn fees!

In all seriousness, though, odd that they are circumventing Nugs this time. Maybe they weren't happy with their cut from the last show? Just hope this doesn't mean no more live audio on nugs in the future... I'm still holding out hope that they may add more shows eventually, even though they haven't in months.

I agree. I have some respect for what they are doing - adapting as they can to perform novelty shows (i.e. full albums) is really cool, but I can't help but feel that recording these for 4k disc releases would be of great value. I'd buy 'em if only for my collection, but I'm disinclined to pay for a stream.

CheSTP Shows: 04/23/2015
JeffTP Shows: 09/26/2019
Velvet Revolver Shows: 05/19/2004 | 11/21/2004 | 04/29/2005 | 08/13/2005 | 05/10/2007 (w. Slash signed Setlist) | 08/28/2007

Unfortunately people like you and I who pay money for discs are the minority in this day and age. A webstream has broader mass appeal.

I'm going to support the band any way I can. I'll pay the money for the live stream, then if they release it on disc later I'll buy that, too.

And on the subject of 4k discs, as much as it would awesome to see them release a new 4k show with Jeff, it would be REALLY incredible if they did 4k scan of the original film masters from the '99 House of Blues show and released that in 4k HDR.

I stayed up until 2am to watch the Core performance from the UK, I'll be all over this. I would definitely pay for a HD disc release of all the concerts combined, assuming they do they other albums. That would be a really special thing to release.

Definitely looks like film to me... The aspect ratio is right, there appears to be a lot of film grain and noise, and I don't see any scan-lines or fuzziness that you'd see on tape. It would make sense too, since the show was recorded for marketing material like the Down music video and not just for a TV broadcast.

Is it only available for 48 hours after the initial broadcast?

Can I buy and watch it 3 days later?  (Watch it for the first time 3 days later, and then have a 48 hour window once I watch it for the first time).

The way I understand it, yes, you only have 48 hours after the broadcast to watch it.

When I say purchase, I don't care if it is a disc. I have the Nugs app on my Apple TV. If the Core thing was just always in my account, that would be fine.

I'm not sure. For the Nugs show was available for 48 hours after you first start the video, but since this one doesn't seem to be through Nugs it's hard to say

What I love most about this so far is the bad photoshop someone did on that ticket that they used.

It's totally this one, with a purple color effect over it and some badly moved numbers and new fonts:

Ha! I thought that ticket looked weirdly familiar. Good to see STP finally playing at the Shark Tank again after all these years!

I'm looking forward to this. And I really, really hope that they don't stop here.
I have an inkling that it'll be Core and Purple and that's it. I hope they continue. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to get anything at all, but I think this is such a cool thing and while they can't tour, it'd be awesome to give each album this treatment.

It's a chance to give us die-hards the deep-cuts we crave at live shows that rarely get played.
