Does anyone know anything about this track other than the fact that it's listed on the iTunes version of the album? Is it going to be a "album only" situationa again? I pre-ordered my copy on BestBuy.com and it's obviously not included on there.

His voice here (especially in the pre-chorus and chorus) sounds like it has a little struggle in it, or maybe that's intentional?

Keep in mind, with all the production work that is done in the studio and all the technology that is available, it is very unlikely that Scott's voice would unintentionally sound like it "has a little struggle in it."  I would certainly think that they would do other takes and do some clean-up work in the studio to get it sounding how they want it to sound.

I can agree with that, but also, if a certain take conveys a certain feel (or desperation for example), you might want to keep it...i'm not saying this is the case...but a song that comes to mind (if anyone is familiar with it) is "In A Little While" off of U2's All That You Can't Leave Behind. It sounds as if Bono is singing with a cold or like his voice was a little blown out or something...but again, i think it's cool.

On a slightly different topic. Obviously "A Song For Sleeping" is about Noah. But did he ever write anything relating to Lucy?

What Pink Floyd feel are you all getting. Can someone give an example?

This sounds like something I would have expected in addition to the No 4/SLDD outtakes that we got a couple years back.
To me, this is more of a 'feel good' song than the great hooky melodies of something like "Crash".

Good tune, very reminscent of "Son" obviously, lyrically. And I don't mind the reoccuring theme at all, especially being that "Son" was written for Victor Indrizzo's son, right? (i think i read that somewhere).

I too prefer the STP version. i DO like this track too, but I got it from the Bug soundtrack, so I didn't need it again.

I disliked when VR did that with Set Me Free (including it on the album after being available on the soundtrack) and I don't like it's inclusion here.

Based on all the song titles available/rumored for this album, wasn't there like 30 songs or something? So he certainly didn't NEED to include this on there, so maybe this song has a special place in his heart.

I think the melodies on this song are wonderful. The vocal layering is great. Out of what I've heard, I think he sounds best on this song.
I find myself going back to this song a lot. Maybe it has to do with the anticipation of this album dropping...or maybe because it's just a killer song.

I think everyone likes this because it's reminiscent of our beloved 12BB. It's got "About Nothing" sample going and feel to it. So naturally I associate it with that song. But I liked "About Nothing" better.

This tune is OK. I certainly don't love it like some others on this board do.

I don't hear the Floyd thing at all, but a Bowie thing seems apparent.
The chorus definitely doesn't go where I expected it to, and that's actually a good thing. It just keeps going and going...and doesn't seem to resolve and I love that.

This song was not an immediate standout to me when I first heard it...but I definitely dig it now. And usually those "grow on you"  type songs, have a greater replay value.

This album has been recorded over the last 10 years right? I would like to know when these songs were recorded actually. While Scott has always been a man of many voices, he's certainly gone through different periods where his voice has been stronger than others or maybe just different approaches. His voice here (especially in the pre-chorus and chorus) sounds like it has a little struggle in it, or maybe that's intentional?
I liken it to when we first heard him sing Tiny Music. A much different sounding voice than the Core and Purple voice that we were used to.

Anyway, back to the song...(despite what i said above) this is one of my faves on the album. The melodies are really infectious on this and that lead guitar certainly adds a nice touch.

This song for some reason conveys a Beatles/John Lennon vibe to me...not your typical "Lazy Divey" / "Beautiful Day" Beatles feel, but nonetheless it reminds me of something. Great melodies are in abundance on this album, it seems, and this song is a perfect example.
