Weiland should snag one of the popular female singers out there right now and sing a duet with one of them.  The christmas song "Baby its Cold Outside" would be a good one! If he is going to do them, they need to be main stream. His songs  are better than Michael Buble or whatever his name is.

I've always wanted Weiland to cover "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" by John Lennon. But only if he sings it in his regular singing voice and doesn't croon.

I wish that, if he's working on some solo material, it wouldn't be Christmas related, but hey, I'll take what I can get at this point... ;D

Scott Weiland + Norah Jones would be perfect.

^ That.

I love his music, but Christmas music is seasonal, boring (compared to original music), and ultimately dated.  It's just not something I can listen to year round.  His live Christmas show was awesome, but I really hope that stays a rare special event instead of the norm.

I’m determined to keep an open mind about this.  Last year, I was sooo excited about the  Christmas album, only to be completely let down when it came out.  Maybe he wants to give it another go, and this  time he’ll give us what we all know he’s capable of.  I’m already excited just thinking about it,  especially after seeing how great the recent STP shows have been.  Maybe he’ll do some Christmas shows, too.

I'd be more excited if I knew for sure that he wasn't going to croon. But the good thing about Weiland is the constant change, which gives me a small amount of hope that it'll be different.

+1

Would rather hear about STP recording some new material, but at least Scott is working on something new.

He most really love x-mas songs, because his x-mas album sold almost nothing and was heavily mocked on most of the reviews I read.  Definitely not a 'cash grab' endeavor :)

When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

That wouldn't surprise me, but it also wouldn't surprise me if he was actually working on a new song. From what I can tell, the dude really freaking likes Christmas.
