So to make a long story short (too late), some point in 2018 Dean replaced his Boss CE-1 with an MXR Analog Chorus and added a Dunlop Echoplex... Then after switching between the MXR Analog Chorus and a Boss CE-2w, Dean settled on the CE-2w some time in 2019.

I asked him why and he said the original CE-1 had too much wiring in it and it was giving tech problems. He tried out new pedals and this one (the CE-2w) is his choice at the moment. It's technically simpler.

Interesting. I figured it was a reliability issue, and it makes sense that modern pedals are much more technically streamlined and easier to maintain. Sounds like he isn't settled on the CE-2w, though.

Anyway, in case it hasn't been said already, thank you for all these little tidbits you've been getting from the band.

For the last few shows Dean has been using a custom Les Paul Junior styled singlecut, built by his guitar tech Bruce Nelson, as his main guitar for standard tuning songs. The guitar is equipped with a single humbucker pickup in the bridge postion. The pickup is a Lollar Low Wind Imperial according to Nelson's comments on Instagram.

Here's Bruce Nelson's Instagram post about the guitar.

Video of Dean playing Vasoline on the guitar.

And here's a really nice, super hi-res photo of the guitar in use from this concert review.

Nelson also made a post about a new Les Paul Special style guitar with Lollar P-90 pickups, but I haven't seen video of Dean using it so I don't know if he's broken it out yet.

Hi.
It's been a while, yes. Sorry.
Kinda cool, this had some great replies since I last visited.

Someone asked to see a video of the rig, to hear it. Since MeatPlow is just now regrouping, due to current circumstances, I did some solo stuff to keep it going.
Have a look at these three. You get both of Dean's main sounds, and two of his guitars.
The Wino is within a year of Dean's. May have been made from the same line, and wood. People.
The Black Pro has P90's, and also within a year of his black Standard. I love the sound it brings for contrast.

It took a very long time to put this rig together. It's still not all figured out MIDI wise,
nor have I had the luxury of time to truly dial it in, but I think I got it close.

I hope you think so too.

BTW, If anyone has the ability to share some of the digital settings for the Intelliverb, I would be forever grateful!
