Sour Girl is the most commercial track on the album. The whole point of a single is to be commercial and sell the album to more people than just the existing fanbase, which it did by being their highest charting single to date.

How that can possibly fall into the category of "bad choice for a single" is beyond me.

With the way STP is marketed, I cant see it having done any better if NO.4 was released instead of STP in 2010.

I was just going to say that exact thing. I think it would have done better than the self titled recent release. I really love a couple tunes on STP (but I don't love them all), but No.4 I think from front to back is totally solid.I love every song. I admit to being a bit out of touch with what is current, and I think that is partially because there is not much great music out there. I think No.4 would hold up well if it came out today, in fact I think it would be a good kick in the ass for them if it did. (if they were still togethor of course).
