What does the line, "eat your salad day deathbed motorcade" supposed to mean?  Most of the song makes sense (or some sense) to me, but this line just seems like a nonsensical phrase.

Well, I think you have to look at it as a whole first, "So keep you bankroll lottery eat your salad day deathbed motorcade." I  think it means be happy with what you have but I'm not sure what deathbed motorcade means.  Could be an auto accident.    Scott has said the lyrics refer to an acid trip so it could mean anything.

Bingo. While I do think it means you do not need money to be happy and live a good life, the places Scott's mind may travel during an acid trip are endless. So it could be about stealing slurpees from a 7-11.

I am honestly not sure..Is anyone?..Scott writes in twisted metaphors like Bowie and Morrison and MYSELF! ha..I don't think anyone is going to ever know what this line means..It's personal to Scott and an obvious metaphor!..I have shown people lyrics I have written and get mixed responses..Some love it..Some think what I penned is NONSENSE!..Depends on how your mind works I guess..Hence why some of us listen to the radio for music and others don't!!..

I definitly think this sond is about how doing drungs makes you want to kill yourself.. but really it is kind of genius that it is kind of jibberishy with real thoughts because if u are sober trying to get inside the head of someone who is tripping it is this song completely
