Happy In Galoshes Song Discussion / Re: Missing Cleveland
« on: November 12, 2008, 05:43:20 PM »
Unfortunately, this song will most likely be slept on as a single. (but scott isn't looking for commercial success on this, right)
Anyway, I think the vocals are good, certainly "catchy" seems to be the general consensus.
Of the first two songs i heard, the second being "Paralysis", I thought this was immediately the more accessible one. I think it's a pretty straight up pop song. And i'm perfectly happy with it as an album opener. (no pun intended)

I would definitely have preferred another Scott original instead of "Fame". The song is just ok. He does a great Bowie voice though. I just would have rather not have it on there.
it's the inclusion of songs like this and "Be Not Afraid" that really make me happy to hear that this is a double album (or bonus disc/deluxe)

Being a huge fan, i'll take any/all Scott Weiland i can get, but i can see this as a skip track.

I like this song a lot, and the intro is awesome, really sets the tone.
When he goes into the first line, I can't help but feel like he's going into "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" that they covered in VR.
But obviously he takes the song in his own direction.
And the solo at the end is a really cool jam piece.
it's rare to include something like that when you're a solo artist that isn't necessarily the guy playing the guitar.

Happy In Galoshes / Re: Problems with Happy "Deluxe Edition" Free T-Shirts
« on: November 10, 2008, 06:32:59 PM »
I dont think you're getting a T-Shirt WITH the purchase of the album.  Didn't it say we would get a voucher for a free t-shirt?

A voucher is a big difference than getting the actual shirt.
I tried to pre-order but haven't found the deluxe edition yet on best buy.

I know Irving Plaza isn't huge, but come on...I can't help but cry conspiracy, so that K-ROCK can get ratings while people sit and listen to the radio, waiting to WIN tickets.

I remember years ago, STP sold out Irving Plaza in no time, but I didn't expect it with Scott. A sell out? Sure, but not in 90 seconds or whatever they will say it was.

What a disappointment. Tickets went on sale at 10 this morning. I was online right at that time and the show is sold out.
What a crock?
Did anyone get tickets?

What's the point in playing a place that gives you virtually no chance to buy tickets?
If the tickets are selling out in less than 5 minutes, that should tell you something...PLAY A BIGGER PLACE!!!!!!  >:(
