I agree about MC5, it's a filler. As for me, it would be better to see Heed the Water Whisper  on №4.

Also saying MC5 and church on Tuesday are generic filler songs just because you feel that way about those songs, is just your opinion and holds no weight whatsoever in real life situations. I fucking love those songs, I fucking love that album.

I realise that... I didn't state it as a fact, I was pretty clear that it was just my opinion. I wasn't being harsh about those songs either, I think they're okay, I just prefer the others and sometimes skip those 2!

Funny enough...back when the album came out, that opening riff of MC5 never grabbed me - and the title just left a MC5 (the band) association in my head...and so I literally went months skipping that song, until I skipped it one day with a friend of mine in the car and he was like "what are you doing? that's a killer song". I listened to it and dug it immediately. The "She don't like the way she smiles." so catchy....

I learned my lesson.

STP tracks I skip (or more honestly are not on any of my playlists):

[blasphemy]Wet My Bed
Press Play
Daisy
Church on Tuesday
Transmissions From a Lonely Room
Peacoat[/blasphemy]

Haha. I love Press Play on a rainy day. I wish there was a whole 10 minute jam of that. Haha.

There is on some vinyl pressings of the album apparently haha... Well I don't think it's quite ten minutes but I heard it loops for around 4 minutes on the vinyl!

I gotta agree, I love Transmissions and every other song on SLDD for that matter (including 'A song for Sleeping' which usually gets a bad rap around these parts!)

Don't get me wrong. I like all those songs. I just tend to skip them. I have a lot of music so there is more I would rather listen to. To me, Transmissions is the worst song on SLDD, but that doesn't mean it sucks. I just listen to a lot of music and that means things get skipped.

If I listen to an album from start to finish, however, I do not skip those. I used to skip Army Ants but found a late appreciation of it.

I think people just tend to skip certain songs. Many people don't like MC5. Tiny Music has some fillers, Daisy, Press Play, Ride the Cliche.
