I have been messing w/ this mic I got & the program that comes w/ it...in order for me to post it I had to make a 'movie'.  I think it turned out pretty cool considering I don't know what I'm doing.  I sang 'Between the Lines' STP, of course.  It's only audio track.  I do it for Scott...& music

This is the 7th vocal track I did for Scott.  It's Heaven & Hot Rods.  I'm glad this forum is here to make finding things easy...Peace

I've been covering Scott/STP a lot since he passed (really decided to make singing my priority creatively sort of as a tribute to Scott). I posted this on another thread but I guess no one saw haha. My impulsive/off the cuff partial vocal of Sex Type Thing:

I'd like to do more and post more Scott-related covers in the future forsure

P.S. if anyone is interested they can check out my original music on that same SoundCloud profile...

Evidently, it's the wound that keeps on crippling.
Today is 10 months. Crazy!
Every now and then it still hits me like a ton of bricks.
I've certainly listened to plenty of Scott's work in the last 10 months, but somehow it's received differently when an STP song randomly comes on the radio. Maybe I'm just not thinking about it for that moment and then BAM! That happened this morning.

Anyway...so much talk about the eventual replacement these days (which is understandable, as is life) but just thought I'd share my thoughts. Maybe others are still feeling similar.

Last night at the Revolver Music Awards in NYC, they paid tribute to Scott with a performance of "Plush".

It's in its 7th year and the whole event still comes off as a complete amateur hour.
This performance followed suit.

Dude from Pop Evil and singer from Red Sun Rising sang. Bumblefoot on guitar.

It's like, on one hand someone pays tribute to his legacy, but then it's done is such poor fashion. Ugh! Embarrassing.

I think people underestimate how hard a song Plush is to perform, the vocals are not at all intuitive, and you have to be very precise. If you don't hit the notes perfectly it sounds like total shit against that music. Some songs you can just belt out and as long as you get close it'll sound OK, not Plush.
