Silvergum Bubbleman? Hehe. I think I like that title better.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Purple
The color purple is usually translated ? z?. 'Purple air' (?? z?qì) is an auspicious omen, 'purple clay' (?? z?sh?) is used to make the teapots the Portugese call boccaro. In certain words, ? can also be translated as 'black' (see black). ? Gàn is a dark purplish-red, like the color of someone being strangled (?? f?gàn "cyanosis"). Japanese uses ? to mean dark blue.

So the symbol looks like this:

For a guy, I think the best place is the shoulder, upper arm, or the calf.   This way it's not shown when you're dressed for work.

I know some places don't care about tattoos, but I've worked places where they say you have to cover your visible tattoos, which sucks when it's 100 degrees outside, and your tats are on your forearms.  Personally, I think that's discrimination, but that's just my .02.  :P  ;D

I wanted to add that the symbol would look awesome as an arm band with some small tribal around it.

OK, so I was intrigued and I scanned the Purple cover art because I thought what was on that was slightly different than what I came up with.  Here's the album cover version:
