Where are you these days man? Still in NC?

5 years? Jesus. Where the hell has life gone. I have lived in 3 different states in 3 years, but I think we are finally getting settled down here in Orange County, but man this state rapes anyone who lives here on a daily basis....

Yes, yes. In the Charlotte area. Married since June 2004 to the girl I dated all the way back since 1998 (we bought a house in 2003, just before she graduated from UNC Chapel Hill).

Glad to hear you are doing well. I still check out placidminds.com once in a while just to see what's up.

Whatever happened to the guy who helped you with the Dishwalla site? His name was Jason, right? I can't seem to remember his screen name.

On a side note....yes, Scott is probably too "mouthy." It comes with the territory. I'm not a lead singer and I am too.

Nero?  That Jason?
I don't know where he is.  The last time we "talked" he sent me pictures of his little girl, but then he disappeared.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Yup...that Jason. Nero was indeed his name. Thanks.

I didn't know you left Vegas, Sean.  Look at you - livin' it up in the OC!

And what's up, LWH?!  Long time no see.  Ha ha - you should head over to the "oldschool members" topic - I don't think Sean posted there, but there's pleanty of old-timers coming out of the woodwork!

Yeah. Vegas is the devil for someone like me. We only lasted 6 months there. Worst 6 months of my life hands down.

Never move to Vegas if you are medicated for anything or have manic tendencies. I barely remember those 6 months to be honest.

*shakes head in shame*

I can't speak for Jason, so I won't. He and I still talk a lot, so if he peaks his head in here he can let you know what is going on in his world, if he wants to.

Mouthy. Ahhh, I am not quite as out spoken as I used to be. I was an asshole for a long time; getting married was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I visited Vegas for the first (and most likely last) time last summer.  Totally not my scene.  Except for the shopping.  Like I could afford anything in The Forum - ha ha.  We went for six days, which was way too long.  I'm not exactly sure how anyone is able to make that city their home.  To each their own.

And being married has settled you down, Sean.  You're still an asshole - just not so much.  =P

There are some very nice areas outside of the Strip. We lived over in Summerlin, which is near the Red Rock casino (and Red Rock....how creative of them), which was very nice. The cost of living is dirt compared to a lot of the country, and no income tax, so a lot of people get sucked in cause of that.

You can be very successful in a place like Vegas if you have the right personality. I certainly do not and it started to slowly consume and attempted to destroy me along the way.

Fucking place is evil.

Vegas is fun for a short period of time. I could take it a week at a time.

I visited Laughlin, which is 90 miles south of Vegas, for a potential job. Talk about absolutely NOTHING going on there. There is a strip with five or six casinos along the Colorado River. Then you go into Bullhead City and the only exciting thing going on is the Walmart. As much as I wanted to jump start my TV career, I just couldn't move out to the desert.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

I agree, but there is also a bit of the disease he has that comes into play here as well. He suffers from some mental things, that I have become accustomed to, and with my wife being a mental health therapist (yes, free therapy for me), I really feel like it is a part of what is going on in his head with the chemical imbalance and stuff.

I personally have had some issues that I have dealt with, and even with medication...etc, it is still in one's nature that when you are backed into any sort of corner, or in any manic state of mind that things can get really chaotic (especially when they are already in disarray) and cause you to say and do things that you might not have done (but in your head and heart, most likely believe some or most of what you are saying or doing).

It is fucked up and I have learned a lot about myself over the last few years, but I still can fly off the handle, lose my cool or just plain act like a complete moron/retard from time to time when I lose myself.

I respect the hell out of Mr. Weiland for what he has gone through, and I personally think that the other members in VR should know better. Slash is a total douchebag and always has been.

Weiland's parting shot about who should replace him is easily one of his best quotes ever.

i was going to mention this too...i am bipolar myself and a lot of times my mouth overrides my brain. people who know me, know how to deal by now but everything i ever say is actually truthful even if not easy to hear. people new to my office will often ask my administrative assistant "did she just say what i think she did?". the reply is  - "you know tatiana"

it's actually kind of refreshing to deal with people who are honest and actually speak what's on their mind and heart. those people who get their feelings hurt easily (of which i am not), may have a more difficult time.
Born free. Now I\\\'m Expensive.

Who what? Someone mention my name? There, changed my display name so there is no longer any confusion as to my identity.

I think Scott's honesty is a good thing...that's not the problem. I think it's his timing...he sometimes rushes into things (verbally) that end up hurting him in the end I think. But the honesty is great...refreshing really

I tried the VR board for a little while, but I realized that I dislike GnR fans almost more than I dislike GnR so it was short-lived for me. Other than that I'm logged on AIM every day and according to my messenger I last saw you online about 2 weeks ago.
Rest in Peace Mr. Weiland.
